Markings: The top of the barrel is marked “41” The top of the toggle is marked “42” which was the manufacture code for Mauserwreke during WWII. The toggle it also marked “25” The left side of the receiver is marked “523” The striker housing is marked “23” The right side of the receiver is marked with waffenamt indicating this pistol was manufactured and then factory refurbished at one point by mauser. The side plate is marked “23” The safety is marked “GESICHERT” tHE TRIGGER IS MARKED “23” The takedown lever is marked “23” The bottom of the barrel is marked “523881” The front of the frame is marked “7607i” The magazine is marked “9167”

Sights / Optics: The front sight is a fixed blade, and the rear sight is a V-notch integral to the toggle assembly.
Stock Configuration & Condition: The pistol features checkered wood grips. The checkering is defined but shows wear consistent with age and service use, including smoothing in high-contact areas. No major cracks or splits are evident. The grips rate in about Good overall condition.
Magazine Quantity & Condition: One detachable magazine is included.The floorplate has broken in half. The magazine appears to function correctly. The magazine rates in Fair condition.

Finish Originality: Refinished
Bore Condition: The bore is mostly bright with well-defined rifling. There is moderate erosion in the bore. In this writers opinion the bore rates 7.5.
Overall Condition: This pistol retains about 80% of its original metal finish. The balance of the finish shows light handling marks, edge wear, and thinning on the barrel and receiver. The screw heads are lightly tool-marked but serviceable. The markings are clear and legible. Overall, this firearm rates in about Very Good condition.
Mechanics: The action functions correctly. There is some play in the barrel which is typical of service use pistols. We did not fire this pistol. As with all used firearms, a thorough cleaning may be necessary to meet your maintenance requirements.
