As with all used firearms, a thorough cleaning may be necessary to meet your maintenance standards.

Our Assessment: This is a Winchester Model 70 Super Grade rifle chambered in .30-06 Springfield and was manufactured in 1969. The post-64 Super Grade has nicer-grain wood and features the classic cut checkering rather than the less expensive to produce press-checkering. The rifle is in Fine-to-Excellent condition with scant evidence of use. The bluing is rich, the bore is bright, and the action is smooth. The .30-06 is a classic cartridge and a perfect caliber to get a classic American rifle like the Model 70 in, you literally cant go wrong here. There are differing opinions on the quality and merit of post-1964 Winchester Model 70 rifles, but rest assured this Super Grade version has all the virtue of its predecessors. Good luck and happy bidding!
