Markings: The left side of the barrel is marked “Model 53 WINCHESTER TRADEMARK-NICKELSTEEL-32 W.C.F.-”. The right side of the barrel is marked “U.S.A. WINCHESTER REPEATING ARMS CO. / NEW HAVEN, CON”. The tang sight is marked “MARBLE ARMS”. The bottom of the receiver is marked “ 8775”.

Sights / Optics: The front sight is a blade dovetailed to a block at the front of the barrel. The rear sight is a v-notch leaf with a ramp dovetailed to the barrel. The upper tang has a folding Marble aperture sight mounted
Stock Configuration & Condition: The stocks are 2-piece walnut with capped forend, straight grip, straight comb and a serrated metal buttplate. The has compression marks, nicks, and scratches throughout. There no chip or cracks. The LOP measures 13? from the front of the trigger to the back of the buttplate. Overall, the stocks are in Very Good condition for a C&R.

Bore Condition: The bore is dark. The rifling is defined. There is erosion throughout the bore. We did not fire this rifle. As with all used firearms a thorough cleaning may be necessary to meet all your maintenance standards.
Overall Condition: This rifle retains about less than 30% of its metal finish. Most of the finish is eroded away with some varying levels of patina on the barrel and receiver. The screw heads are tool marked with serviceable slots. There are nicks and scratches throughout the metal. Overall, this rifle is in about Good condition for a C&R.
Mechanics: The action functions correctly. We did not fire this rifle. As with all used firearms, a thorough cleaning may be necessary to meet your maintenance standards.
