Markings: The frame is marked with the serial number under the break lever. The water table is marked, “MADE IN U.S.A. MODEL 21 / WINCHESTER REPEATING ARMS CO / NEW HAVEN, CONN” The forend is marked with the serial number. The top of the barrels are marked, “MODEL 21 / WINCHESTER TRADE MARK / 12 GAUGE 2 ¾” The barrel flats are marked, “56 / 32118” with winchester proofs. The bottom of both barrels are marked, “WINCHESTER PROOF STEEL” with “MOD” on the right and, “IMP.MOD”

Choke: The left barrel measures MODIFIED, Fixed. The right barrel measures IMPROVED CYLINDER, Fixed.
Sights / Optics: There is a double silver bead setup atop a serrated rib.
Stock Configuration & Condition: The stock is a two piece checkered walnut set with a beavertail forend, semi-pistol grip, straight fluted comb, and soft rubber Winchester buttpad. There are pressure dents and scratches throughout. There is a small crack in front of the forend spacer. The checkering is semi-sharp. There are no chips. The LOP is 13 ¼” from the front of the trigger to the back of the buttpad. The stocks are in Very Good overall condition.

Bore Condition: The bore is mostly bright. There is no erosion but there are some light scratches throughout. In this writer’s opinion the bore rates at a 9/10.
Overall Condition: This shotgun retains about 60% of its metal finish. There is heavy thinning throughout. There are scratches and small nicks throughout. The action has wear. The screw heads are mostly sharp. The markings are clear. Overall, this shotgun is in Good condition.
Mechanics: The action functions correctly. The lock up is tight with no play. We have not fired this shotgun. As with all used firearms, thorough cleaning may be necessary to meet your maintenance requirements.
