Our Assessment: When you think of iconic American rifles, there are none more iconic than the Winchester model 1894. This rifle has been used for 130 years for everything from defending homesteads and helping to bring law and order to a wild America, early law enforcement, and hunting. These rifles were an essential tool that you had to have in order to survive in the west. This rifle was so popular and reliable that it is still produced today.
Pre-War 94s are certainly uncommon. The Winchester Model 1894 also captured the imaginations of the world by being used in numerous movies and tv shows. Used by many stars such as Clint Eastwood, John Wayne, Robert Duvall, Charles Bronson, and so many more.
These rifles also spawned many variations that specialized in different applications such as Carbine models and hunting models. However none would be as popular as the model 1894. This is a must have for Winchester collectors and is from a very difficult year to find. Good luck on your bid! -M.C.
