Markings: The bottom of the frame is marked, “GRAND EUROPEAN” The top of the tang has the serial number. The frame and trigger guard have fine western engraving. The inside of the forend is marked, “477535” The top barrel is marked, “GRAND EUROPEAN – WINCHESTER – 12 GAUGE 2 ¾ / EAST ALTON IL. U.S.A. / CAM.70 / MADE IN JAPAN” The bottom barrel is marked, “KGI550 18.6 / WINCHESTER PROOF STEEL” The bottom flat is marked, “477535” There are various proofs throughout.
Barrel Length: 30” With Ventilated Rib.
Choke: Full over Improved Modified, both fixed.
Sights / Optics: There is a dual bead setup atop the knurled rib. The front bead is missing the colored piece.
Stock Configuration & Condition: The stocks are two-piece checkered walnut with finger grooved forend, Monte Carlo stock, and Griggs adjustable soft rubber buttpad. There are weights in the stock. The stocks have some scattered minor nicks, scuffs and scratches. The checkering is sharp. There are no chips or cracks. The LOP measures 15 1/8? from the front of the trigger to the back of the recoil pad. The pad has light wear at the heel and around the edges, but is still supple. Overall, the stocks are in Very Good condition.

Bore Condition: The smooth bores are bright. There is no erosion in the bore but there is some fowling. In this writer’s opinion, the bore rates at a 9/10.
Overall Condition: This shotgun retains about 99% of its metal finish. There is assembly and operation wear on the action. There are small nicks throughout the barrels. The screw heads are lightly tool marked with strong slots. The markings are clear. Overall, this shotgun is in about Excellent condition.
Mechanics: The action functions correctly. The barrels lock up to the receiver with no play. The safety does not engage automatically when the action is opened, but does function properly when engaged manually. We have not fired this shotgun. As with all used firearms, a thorough cleaning may be necessary to meet your maintenance standards.
