Action Type: Top-Break Over/Under Shotgun with Single Selective Trigger (Mechanical) and Ejectors.
Markings: The left side of the top barrel is marked “MODEL 101 – WINCHESTER – 20 GAUGE-2 ¾” & 3” / MADE IN JAPAN”. The left of the monoblock top barrel is marked “SKEET 2”, the bottom “SKEET 1” and each with an ovalled “WP” and “SP” proof. The lug on the base of the block is marked “NK”. The bottom of the bottom barrel is marked “WINCHESTER PROOF STEEL”. The bottom of the monoblock is marked “PH / 201371”. The top of the forend iron is marked “201371”, the inside of the forend iron is marked “01371”, and the wood inside of the forend is marked “T” with two Japanese characters. The top tang is marked “202795” and “S U O”. The receiver, trigger guard, exposed portions of the forend iron and the barrel shoulders have decorative scroll engraving. The recoil plate is marked “WINCHESTER TRADEMARK”. The bottom of the receiver is marked “OlinKodensha / Co. Ltd”.

Choke: Fixed Choke barrels Skeet over Skeet ( our gauge reads Skeet over Cylinder)
Sights / Optics: The front sight is a brass bead. There is a mid bead. The top of the rib is finely checkered for reducing glare.
Stock Configuration & Condition: The furniture set is a two-piece checkered walnut with full length finger shelf forend, fluted straight comb, capped semi-pistol grip and black plastic checkered Winchester buttplate. The LOP measures 14? from the front of the trigger to the back of the butt plate. The cast is very slightly right handed. The drop at comb is 1.5” the drop at heel is 2.5”. The forend shows very minor handling wear with one notable compression on the bottom in between the takedown hardware. The stock shows minor handling wear. The buttplate shows some bleed over of the finish around the edges and some minor rub wear. There are no visible chips or cracks in the wood or the plastic buttplate. Overall, the furniture is in about Very Good + condition.

Bore Condition: The smooth bores are mirror bright with no erosion. There are no visible lines from use and no plastic fouling present. In this writer’s opinion the bores rate 10/10.
Overall Condition: This shotgun retains about 99% of its metal finish. There is wear under the safety selector. There is a small rub mark on the receiver just in front of the trigger guard. The edges of the receiver show some very mild thinning. The trigger also shows some very minor thinning in the finish. The screw heads are sharp and the markings are clear. Overall this shotgun is in Very Good + to Excellent condition.
Mechanics: The action functions correctly. The barrels lock up to the receiver with no play. The safety does not engage automatically when the action is opened, and does function properly when engaged manually. We have not fired this shotgun. As with all used firearms, a thorough cleaning may be necessary to meet your maintenance standards.
