Barrel Length: 18 1/2”

Sights/Optics: The front sight is a beaded blade dovetailed to a hooded, ramped base fixed to the front of the barrel. The rear sight is a folding “U”-notch dovetailed to the rear of the barrel. The notch is fine-adjustable for elevation. The top of the receiver is drilled and tapped with a once-piece Weaver base and rings holding a Redfield 3-9x scope with duplex reticle. The scope has some scattered light marks in the body. The glass is fairly clear, but needs a good cleaning. The left-rear of the receiver is drilled, tapped and filled for a receiver sight (none present).

Stock Configuration and Condition: The stock is a one-piece smooth wood with banded forend, capped pistol grip, straight comb, checkered black plastic buttplate and sling swivels front and rear. The stock has a few light nicks and scratches. There are no chips or cracks. The LOP measures 13 3/4″ from the front of the trigger to the back of the buttplate. The plate has light wear with well defined checkering. Overall, the stock is in Fine condition.

Type of Finish: Blue, Black Alloy Bottom Metal

Finish Originality: Original

Bore Condition: The bore is mostly bright and the rifling is sharp. There is no erosion in the bore, but there is some stubborn copper fouling. In this writer’s opinion, the bore rates 8+ out of 10.

Overall Condition: This rifle retains about 96% of its metal finish. Most of the balance is on the bottom metal with wear around the magazine well and cross-bolt safety. The receiver cap has gone to a plum hue. The action shows light operational wear. The screw heads range from sharp to lightly tool marked with strong slots. The markings are clear. Overall, this rifle rates in Very Good-Fine condition.

Mechanics: The action functions correctly. We have NOT verified that this example has been sent to Winchester for recall. The winning bidder should confirm with Winchester prior to firing and returning the firing pin for replacement if it has not been replaced already. We have not fired this rifle. As with all used firearms, thorough cleaning may be necessary to meet your maintenance standards.

Box, Paperwork, and Accessories: This rifle comes with a single magazine and the installed scope as described.
