Sights / Optics: The front sight is a beaded blade with a protective hood integral to a serrated ramped base fixed to the barrel above the muzzle. The rear sight is a Lyman adjustable ghost ring aperture sight that is attached to the left side of the receiver.
Stock Configuration & Condition: The two piece checkered walnut stock has a straight grip, straight comb and checkered metal buttplate. The wood shows a few light scuffs and scratches. The LOP measures 13 1/2” from the front of the trigger to the back of the buttplate. This stock rates in about Excellent overall condition.

Finish Originality: Original to Customization
Bore Condition: The bore is bright and the rifling is sharp. There is no erosion in the bore. In this writer’s opinion, this bore rates a 10 out of 10.
Overall Condition: This rifle retains about 99% of its metal finish. The metal shows a couple of light handling and storage marks. The screw heads are sharp. The markings are clear. Overall, this rifle rates in about Excellent condition.
Mechanics: The action functions Correctly. We did not fire this firearm. We have cleaned this firearm and performed a mechanic’s check but expect many will want to clean the firearm again depending on their standards.

Our Assessment: This is a Winchester 9422, based, of course, on the company’s tried and true Model 94 Lever Action carbine. The action has to be felt to understand, with a flick of the wrist, you’ve already got another round chambered. This well-built rimfire lever-action made its debut in 1972, and this example was manufactured in 1988. This Winchester lever action rifle is in Superb condition, showing little use. This model 9422 has been custom engraved, with the barrel marked “C / CS” above the Winchester proof mark and “PR” marking on the bottom tang. There are incredible scroll motifs on each side and on top of the receiver. The top tang and barrel bands are also engraved. This would be a great rifle for taking care of all kinds of varmints as well as being a nice piece to add to a Winchester collection. Please see our photos, good luck and happy bidding!
