Sights / Optics: The front sight is a beaded blade with a protective hood dovetailed to a serrated ramped mount fixed to the barrel above the muzzle. The rear sight is a “U”-notch elevator sight dovetailed to the top rear of the barrel. The top of the receiver is grooved to accommodate rings for optics (not included).
Stock Configuration & Condition: The stocks are two-piece checkered highly figured walnut featuring a forend with barrel band, a semi pistol grip, a fluted straight comb and a black rubber buttpad. The wood shows minor light handling and storage marks. The checkering is sharp. There are no chips or cracks. The LOP measures 13 3/4” from the front of the trigger to the back of the buttpad. The stocks are in Excellent overall condition.

Bore Condition: The bore is bright and the rifling is sharp. There is no erosion in the bore. In this writer’s opinion and for the age, this bore rates a 10 out of 10.
Overall Condition: This rifle features an engraved receiver with “MODEL 9422 TRIBUTE” in gold on the left side of the receiver and the Winchester galloping horse and rider logo in gold on the right of the receiver. The rifle retains about 99% of its metal finish. The balance of the finish shows no notable wear or damage, just a few light handling marks. The screw heads are sharp. The markings are clear. Overall, this rifle is in Excellent condition.
Mechanics: The action functions correctly. We did not fire this firearm. As with all used firearms, a thorough cleaning may be necessary to meet your maintenance requirements.
Box, Paperwork & Accessories: This rifle comes with a serial-matched Winchester cardboard box with a cardboard outer sleeve and cardboard shipping box, an instruction manual with factory handouts and a locking device with keys.
Our Assessment: The Winchester High Grade Tribute Legacy Model 9422M is chambered in .22 Magnum and was made around 2005. It features a 22” barrel and highly figured checkered walnut stocks. This rifle is beautiful and features an engraved receiver with “MODEL 9422 TRIBUTE” in gold on the left side of the receiver and the Winchester galloping horse and rider logo in gold on the right of the receiver. The Winchester quality shines through in the action making this another great limited edition rifle. This rifle’s condition is indicative of being in the box more than out of it and makes this a beautiful display piece that your collection needs.
