Our Assessment: This Wilkinson Arms Linda 9mm Luger Carbine is an uncommon and distinctive pistol-caliber semi-automatic rifle with strong appeal to collectors of less-common American 9mm carbines. Built as a blowback-operated carbine fed by detachable stick magazines, it features a 16″ barrel, protected fixed front blade sight, protected rear peephole sight, matte black finish, tubular buttstock with wood buttplate, walnut forend, and checkered polymer grip panels. The clear Parma, Idaho Wilkinson Arms markings and included owner’s manual add positively to its collector interest.
Condition is excellent overall. The rifle retains approximately 98% of its original metal finish, with crisp markings, sharp screw heads, unmarred pins, little to no handling or operational wear, and only a few minor marks in the magwell. The bore is a major strength, rated 9.75/10 in the writer’s opinion, with bright metal, sharp rifling, no visible erosion, and only minor fouling. The rifle appears to have seen little use beyond possible factory test firing. The furniture is also in Excellent condition, with sharp grip-panel checkering, minor handling wear only, and no chips or cracks. Both included 31-round magazines are described as Excellent.
Overall, this Wilkinson Arms Linda carbine presents as a highly preserved and desirable example of an unusual 9mm semi-automatic carbine. Its excellent bore, high remaining original finish, clean furniture, two magazines, and owner’s manual make it a notably complete and attractive package. While it has not been test-fired and should be cleaned or inspected to the buyer’s standards, the rifle appears mechanically sound and exceptionally well cared for, making it suitable for collection, range use, or as a representative example of Wilkinson Arms’ distinctive pistol-caliber carbine designs.
