Sights / Optics: There are no provisions for iron sights. The top of the receiver is mounted with a one-piece rail for optics.
Stock Configuration & Condition: The stock is a one-piece composite stock, finished with a tan base with black spiderweb accents. The stock has a pistol grip, fluted monte carlo comb with cheekpiece, black rubber Decelerator buttpad, a wide target forend, and sling studs front and rear. The LOP measures 13 1/2″ from the front of the trigger to the back of the buttpad. The stock shows no notable wear. The finish is intact throughout. The stock fits tightly to the barreled action, with no play. There are no chips or cracks. Overall, the stock rates in Excellent condition.

Bore Condition: The bore is bright with sharp rifling. There is no erosion in the bore. In this writer’s opinion, the bore rates 10/10.
Overall Condition: This rifle retains about 98% of its original metal finish. The balance of the finish shows light wear, with some minor missing finish on the bolt knob, and light operational wear on the bolt body and other friction surfaces of the action. Otherwise, the finish is intact throughout. The markings are clear and legible. The screw heads are sharp. Overall, this rifle rates in Fine to Excellent condition.
Mechanics: The action functions correctly, as does the safety. We did not fire this rifle, but we did perform a mechanic’s check. As with all used firearms, a thorough cleaning may be necessary to meet your maintenance requirements.
Box, Paperwork & Accessories: This rifle comes with its original serial number matching box, owner’s manual/paperwork, a set of sling rings, and the scope mount as mentioned above.
Our Assessment: The Weatherby Mark V Super Varmintmaster reflects Roy Weatherby’s commitment to strength, precision, and high-velocity performance. Built on the legendary six-lug Mark V action, long regarded for its strength and smooth bolt lift, the Varmintmaster configuration was tailored for precision shooting and extended range varmint work. Chambered in .22-250 Remington, a cartridge introduced in the mid-twentieth century and celebrated for its blistering velocity and flat trajectory, this rifle represents the modern evolution of the high-speed varmint rifle concept. The heavy 26 inch fluted stainless barrel with 1:14 twist is well suited for traditional .22-250 bullet weights, delivering the accuracy and consistency expected from Weatherby’s precision-oriented offerings.
This example remains in Fine to Excellent condition, retaining approximately 98 percent of its original finish. The stainless heavy contour barrel and matte black receiver show only light operational wear, primarily on the bolt knob and friction surfaces. The composite stock in tan with black spiderweb accents remains excellent, with strong fit to the action and no structural concerns. The bore is bright and rates 10 out of 10 in this writer’s opinion. As a single-shot configuration, this Mark V emphasizes deliberate precision over rapid fire, reinforcing its varmint and bench-oriented character. Complete with its original matching box and accessories, this Super Varmintmaster presents as a clean and well-preserved example of late 1990s to early 2000s American Weatherby production.
