Our Assessment: This is a beautifully crafted Weatherby Custom rifle chambered in the high-velocity .257 Weatherby Magnum, a cartridge developed by Roy Weatherby in the 1940s. This rifle was built in South Gate, California, in the 1950s, when Weatherby was producing some of their finest bolt-action rifles before shifting production overseas. The .257 Weatherby Magnum is renowned for its flat trajectory and high velocity, making it one of the best long-range hunting cartridges for medium-sized game such as deer, pronghorn, and sheep. The included Leupold FX-II 6x36mm scope is an excellent pairing, providing a clear sight picture and a fixed 6x magnification, ideal for precision shots in open country.

Collectors and Weatherby enthusiasts will appreciate the South Gate production, custom barrel work, and classic Monte Carlo stock that give this rifle its distinctive aesthetic and performance. Given its outstanding condition, historical significance, and included optics, this rifle is a must-have for collectors and serious hunters alike. Don’t miss the opportunity to own this exceptional Weatherby bolt-action rifle.  Please see our High Quality photos and good luck on your bids.-C.M.
