Bore Condition: The lands are mostly bright and the grooves are gray with some light erosion and fouling. The rifling is sharp.

Overall Condition: This handgun retains about 65% of its metal finish. There is thinning at the leading edges. There is faint pitting on the sides of the slide coupled with finish loss. The controls have thinned considerably. There is scattered surface oxidation throughout with the most notable on the front strap and throughout the frame. There are light nicks and scratches throughout. The action shows standard operational wear. The screw head is lightly tool marked. The markings are legible. Overall, this pistol is in about Good-Plus condition.

Mechanics: The action functions correctly. The double action trigger pull is a little stiff and the single action pull is crisp. This pistol has a decocker. We did not fire this handgun. As with all previously owned firearms, a thorough cleaning may be necessary to meet your maintenance standards.

Box, Paperwork & Accessories: This pistol comes with two 7-round Mec-Gar magazines. One has a pinky extension.

Our Assessment: Walther’s original factory was located in a-Mehlis in the “Land” (state) of Thuringia. As that part of Germany was occupied by the Soviet Union following World War II, Walther fled to West Germany, where they established a new factory in Ulm. This is a .32 caliber Walther Model PPK made in 1939, near the beginning of WWII, at the factory in Thuringia. It is in Good-Very Good condition with roughly 65% original finish remaining. The bore is decent with sharp rifling. Walther’s are known for their reliability. That said, they are also collectible. This example is in Good condition and would be a great addition to a Walther collection. Please see our photos and good luck!
