Sights / Optics: The front sight is a white dotted blade integral to the slide. The rear sight is a rectangular notch sight dovetailed to the slide with a white aiming reference under the notch.
Stock Configuration & Condition: The grips are a checkered two piece polymer set screw set to the frame. The grips show no chips or cracks. There are some minor surface level lines and some small nicks along the bottom edges near the mag well. Overall the grips are in about Excellent condition.
Magazine Quantity and Condition: This pistol includes two Sig 38 Super Auto magazines in Excellent condition.

Bore Condition: The bore is bright and the rifling is sharp. There is no erosion in the bore. There is some lead fouling in the grooves from use. The feed ramp has some minor marks but is smooth. In this writer’s opinion the bore rates 9 out of 10.
Overall Condition: This pistol retains about 99% of its metal finish. The balance of the finish shows little to no wear. There are few light scratches throughout. The barrel has turned to a light plum color. The screw heads are sharp and the markings are clear. Overall, this pistol rates in about Excellent condition.
Mechanics: The action functions correctly. We did not fire this pistol. As with all used firearms, a thorough cleaning may be necessary to meet your maintenance requirements.

Our Assessment: The West German SIG Sauer P220 is a classic full-size service pistol known for its DA/SA trigger system, exposed hammer, frame-mounted decocker, single-stack magazine design, and refined European manufacture. This 1982 “JC” date-coded example is chambered in the less commonly encountered .38 Super Auto and features the traditional heel magazine release, 4.4” barrel, fixed white-dot front sight, white-reference rear sight, checkered polymer grips, and original black finish. With two SIG .38 Super magazines, test target, safety card, manual, and blue box with red foam interior, this is a well-accessorized West German P220 package.
This P220 is in Excellent condition overall, retaining about 99% of its original black metal finish with little to no wear and only a few light scratches throughout. The barrel has taken on a light plum tone, and the feed ramp shows minor marks but remains smooth. The checkered polymer grips rate in Excellent condition, showing no chips or cracks, with only minor surface lines and small nicks near the magwell. The bore is bright with sharp rifling, no erosion, and some lead fouling in the grooves, rating 9 out of 10 in this writer’s opinion.
