Markings: The left side of the barrel is marked “Volquartsen 22LR”, with the Volquartsen logo. The left side of the receiver is marked with the serial number, the Volquartsen logo, and “Volquartsen Superlite”. The right side of the receiver is marked “Carroll, IA”.
Barrel Length: 16 3/4″, 18 1/2 w/Radial Muzzle Brake, Carbon Wrapped, Threaded.
Sights / Optics: There are no provisions for iron sights. The top of the receiver is mounted with an Arken SH-4J Gen. II 6-24×50 First Focal Plane scope, with a MOA/VPR Illuminated Reticle. The glass in the scope is clear. The scope shows light wear, with a few scratches and dings throughout the scope’s finish. The illuminated reticle does not light up, more than likely due to a dead battery. The turrets adjust properly, with positive clicks. Overall, the scope rates in Very Good condition. The scope is mounted to the receiver by a one-piece base, and sit in Arken 30mm rings.
Stock Configuration & Condition: The stock is a one-piece smooth laminate thumbhole stock, with a pistol grip with right-handed palm-swell, monte carlo comb with cheekpiece, black rubber buttpad, a tapered forend with finger groove, and a sling stud on the bottom of the forend for the addition of a bipod. The LOP measures 14 5/8″ from the front of the trigger to the back of the buttpad. The stock shows light wear, with a few light scratches and compressions scattered throughout. The stock’s finish is intact, and the stock fits tightly to the barreled action, with no play. There are no chips or cracks. Overall, the stock rates in Very Good condition.
Magazine Quantity & Condition: 2x 25rd Tactical Inc. TI25 .22LR magazines, both of which are in Good condition.

Bore Condition: The bore is bright with sharp rifling. There is no erosion in the bore, but there is some minor fouling present. In this writer’s opinion, the bore rates 9.75/10.
Overall Condition: This rifle retains about 97% of its original metal finish. The balance of the finish shows minor chipping/thinning around the ejection port, and in the magazine well. There is operational wear on the bolt. Otherwise, the rest of the matte stainless finish on the receiver, and the carbon fiber wrap on the barrel is intact. The markings are clear and legible. The screw heads are tooled but retain serviceable slots. Overall, this rifle rates in Good to Very Good condition.
Mechanics: The action functions correctly, as does the cross-bolt safety. The flat-faced trigger has a light, crisp, and clean break. We did not fire this rifle, but we did perform a mechanic’s check. As with all used firearms, a thorough cleaning may be necessary to meet your maintenance requirements. It should be noted that there is a considerable amount of carbon build up in the radial muzzle brake.

This example retains approximately 97 percent of its original matte stainless and carbon fiber finish, with minor thinning at the ejection port and magazine well and expected operational wear on the bolt. The 16 3/4 inch carbon-wrapped barrel measures 18 1/2 inches with the radial muzzle brake installed; the bore is bright with sharp rifling, rating 9.75 out of 10, and there is visible carbon buildup in the brake. The laminate thumbhole stock with right-hand palm swell measures 14 5/8 inches length of pull and remains in Very Good condition. An Arken SH-4J Gen. II 6-24×50 FFP optic is mounted in 30mm rings; the glass is clear and turret clicks are positive, though the illuminated reticle does not currently activate.
