Bore Condition: The bore is bright with sharp rifling, showing light fouling but no corrosion or pitting. In this writer’s opinion, the bore rates 9/10, ensuring excellent accuracy and long-term reliability.
Overall Condition: This rifle retains 95%+ of its original parkerized finish, showing minimal handling wear and strong finish retention throughout. Light wear on the dust cover from ejection. The magazine is blued, contrasting with the parkerized receiver and barrel. The markings remain crisp and well-defined, and the rifle appears to have seen very little use.
Mechanics: The action functions flawlessly, with a smooth cycling bolt, proper safety engagement, and tight magazine fit. As expected from Valmet’s high-quality Finnish craftsmanship, the rifle exhibits exceptional build quality and durability. We did not fire this rifle. As with all used firearms, a thorough cleaning and inspection are recommended before operation.
