Sights / Optics: The front sight is an adjustable pin protected by wings. The rear sight is a “U” tangent notch leaf sight marked from “1 – 8” and “S” for the battle position. The front sight canted to the right.
Stock Configuration & Condition: This Century Arms build was made using a Polish Type III Kit. The furniture set is wood featuring a metal buttplate with trap door for the included cleaning kit. There are a few light scratches and compression marks throughout. The LOP measures 12.5” from the front of the trigger to the back of the buttplate. There are no cracks or chips. The stock rates in about Excellent overall condition.
Magazine Quantity and Condition: Three 30rd Polish magazines in about Excellent condition. Polish Magazine pouch is included.

Finish Originality: Original
Bore Condition: The bore is bright and the rifling is sharp. There is no erosion in the bore.. In this writer’s opinion the bore rates 9.5 out of 10.
Overall Condition: This rifle retains about 97% of its metal finish. The balance of the finish shows little to no wear. There is light operational wear. There are a few light scratches. The front sight post has a faint spot of surface rust. The screw heads are sharp and the pins are unmarred. The markings are clear. Overall, this rifle rates in about Very Good Plus condition.
Mechanics: The action functions correctly. We did not fire this rifle. As with all used firearms, a thorough cleaning may be necessary to meet your maintenance requirements.
Box, Paperwork & Accessories: This rifle comes with the original Circle 11 (Polish) canvas sling, Polish magazine pouch, AK bayonet, and magazines. This rifle is installed with a Tapco G2 trigger.
Our Assessment: With Century Arms rifles, there is a common expectation that it will either be a hit or a miss. Luckily with the M1960, these AKs are critically acclaimed as a huge hit. With a milled receiver and built using an original Polish Type III Kit, these actions are buttery smooth with tight fit parts and a quality that is honestly unexpected from Century Arms.
