Our Assessment: The Uberti-produced 1873 Single Action Army revolver, imported under the U.S. Patent Fire-Arms marking, is a faithful continuation of the legendary Colt Peacemaker pattern that defined American sidearms following its adoption in 1873. Built in Italy with close adherence to original dimensions and styling, these revolvers capture the balance, lockwork, and handling that made the original design iconic. Chambered in .45 Colt, a cartridge developed alongside the original revolver for U.S. military service, this combination remains one of the most historically significant and enduring pairings in American firearms, known for its authoritative performance and continued relevance among traditional revolver enthusiasts.

This example presents in Excellent condition, retaining approximately 97% of its original blued and case-colored finish with only light handling and operational wear visible. The smooth maple grips provide a distinctive and attractive contrast to the metal finish, showing minor handling marks and light compression without any structural issues. The bore is bright with sharp rifling and only light fouling and storage dust present, rating 9 out of 10. The revolver maintains the classic fixed sight arrangement of a blade front and top strap notch rear, delivering the traditional sight picture consistent with the original pattern.

Mechanically, the revolver functions correctly, preserving the crisp single action operation expected of this design. The markings remain clear and well defined, and the included factory box, paperwork, and cloth sleeve add to the completeness of the package. This revolver offers a well-executed modern representation of the 1873 pattern with strong visual appeal and solid condition throughout.
