Sights / Optics: The front sight is a brass beaded blade dovetailed to the front of the barrel. The rear sight is a spring leaf u-notch elevator sight that is dovetailed to the barrel.
Stock Configuration & Condition: The stocks are 2-piece checkered deluxe walnut with capped forend, semi-pistol grip, straight comb, and steel crescent buttplate. The LOP measures 12 3/4″ from trigger to buttplate. There is light handling wear. There are no chips or cracks. Overall this stock is in Excellent condition.

Bore Condition: The bore is bright and the rifling is sharp. There is no erosion in the bore. In this writer’s opinion the bore rates 10/10.
Overall Condition: This rifle retains about 98% of its metal finish. There is very minor handling and operational wear. The screw heads are sharp. The markings are clear. Overall this rifle is in Excellent condition.
Mechanics: The action functions correctly. The takedown functions correctly. We did not fire this rifle. As with all used firearms, a thorough cleaning may be necessary to meet your maintenance standards.

Our Assessment: This Turnbull-customized Winchester 1892 Deluxe Takedown is a premium modern reproduction built by Miroku in 2009 and extensively finished and upgraded by Turnbull Manufacturing. Chambered in .45 Colt, it features a 24″ octagon barrel, takedown configuration, tubular magazine, deluxe checkered walnut stocks, semi-pistol grip, straight comb, and steel crescent buttplate. The color case hardened receiver combined with traditional blued barrel and barrel-mounted iron sights (brass bead front and elevator rear) gives it a highly refined, period-correct aesthetic consistent with Turnbull’s high-end restoration and custom finishing work.
Condition is Excellent overall, with the rifle retaining approximately 98% of its metal finish. The case coloring remains vivid, the bluing is deep and even, and there is only very minor handling and operational wear present. The screw heads are sharp, and all markings are clear and well-defined. The deluxe walnut stock set is also in Excellent condition, showing only light handling wear with no chips or cracks, and presenting with strong figure and clean checkering consistent with a high-grade build.
The bore is outstanding, remaining bright with sharp rifling and no erosion, rating 10/10 in this writer’s opinion and indicating minimal use beyond test firing. Mechanically, the action functions correctly and the takedown system operates as intended, reflecting proper fit and finish typical of Turnbull-enhanced Miroku 1892 platforms. As with any used firearm, a thorough cleaning and inspection are advisable before use.
