Our Assessment: Jack Garner is a well known maker of muzzleoaders, something he has been doing for nearly 60 years. This Poor Boy flintlock rifle was handmade in Corinth, Mississippi at his company Tennessee Valley Manufacturing. Jack Garner started gunsmithing in 1976 with Dixie Gun Works before setting off on his own, eventually creating Tennessee Valley Manufacturing. The Poor Boy flintlock is very much in the tradition of classic American flintlocks of the late 18th and early 19th centuries.
