Our Assessment: The Browning T-Series Hi-Power is among the most sought-after commercial variants of the legendary FN Hi-Power pistol. Manufactured during the 1960s, T-Series pistols represent a period of exceptionally high-quality Belgian production and are widely regarded by collectors as some of the finest commercial Hi-Powers ever assembled. The design itself traces its lineage to John Moses Browning and Dieudonné Saive, becoming one of the most influential military and commercial pistols of the 20th century. Chambered in 9mm Luger, the Hi-Power combined excellent ergonomics, proven reliability, and a then-revolutionary high-capacity magazine design that would influence countless future service pistols. This example retains approximately 60% of its original polished blue finish, now developing a pleasing and uniform brown patina across much of the metal surface. The bore remains excellent, showing bright surfaces and sharp rifling with only minor fouling present, supporting its 9 out of 10 rating. Particularly desirable are the original red-backed walnut grip panels, which remain in excellent condition with sharp checkering and only minor handling impressions. The pistol is accompanied by an original 13-round magazine and a leather holster, further complementing its presentation.

Altogether, this T-Series Hi-Power represents an honest and attractive collector-grade example of one of the most desirable commercial Hi-Power variants ever produced. The combination of Belgian manufacture, T-series production, original red-backed grips, and attractive age-developed patina gives the pistol considerable collector appeal despite finish loss. More than half a century after its manufacture, the Browning Hi-Power remains one of the most elegant and influential handgun designs ever produced and a cornerstone of any serious military or commercial pistol collection. -R.E.
