Markings: The side locks are marked “T.L. GOLCHER”.  The left side of the watertable is marked “1120 / THO L.GOLCHER”.  The bottom tang is marked “No.134”.  The barrel rib is marked “THO L. GOLCHER No. 116 GIRARD AVE. PHILADELPHIA PA.”. The right barrel flat is marked “1120”.  The inside of the forend on the wood is marked “12”.

Barrel Length: 28”

Choke: Fixed.  Both chokes are Modified.

Sights / Optics: The front sight is a metallic bead.

Stock Configuration & Condition: The stocks are two piece checkered walnut with capped semi-pistol grip, straight comb, and serrated composite buttplate. The buttstock has scattered nicks, scuffs and scratches. The checkering is generally well defined and crisp. There are no chips or cracks. The LOP measures 13” and 14? from the fronts of the triggers to the back of the buttplate respectively.  There are a couple chips in the bottom of the buttplate.  Overall, the stocks are in Fine condition as Antique.

Type of Finish: Damascus barrels and case-color receiver.

Finish Originality: Original

Bore Condition: The bores are gray. There is erosion throughout. In this writer’s opinion the bore rates 6/10 for Antique.

Overall Condition: This shotgun retains about 40% of its metal finish. The barrels have well defined damascus patterning.  The muzzle has some finish loss and a couple nicks along with some minor pitting. The case color is mostly mute but retains faint color around the hammers. The screw heads range from sharp to tool marked with strong slots. The markings are clear. The engraving is crisp and elegant throughout. Overall, this gun rates in Very Good condition as Antique.

Mechanics: The action functions correctly. The barrels have minor play to the receiver. We have not fired this gun. As with all used firearms, a thorough cleaning may be necessary to meet your maintenance standards.

Box, Paperwork & Accessories: This shotgun comes with an Extra 10 GA 32″ Barrel Set. The bores have faint erosion throughout.  There is a small dent on the right barrel.  The bores rate 8/10 each for antique. The damascus pattern is well defined.  There is thinning on the leading edges and some oxidation scattered throughout. Please see photos.
