Markings: The left side of the chamber is marked with a CAI import stamp and import serial number K3113204. The original serial number 730094 is present on the left side of the ejection port, bolt, and bottom of the magazine. The barrel shank features a large Swiss cross emblem over the chamber.
Troop Tag: The original Swiss troop tag is present under the buttplate. It reads:
“Mitr. Bernet Johann geb.1926 Sch.Geb.S.Kp.IV/8”, indicating the rifle was issued to Johann Bernet, born in 1926, and assigned to Schützen-Gebirgs-Scharfschützen-Kompanie IV/8 (Mountain Sharpshooter Company IV/8).

Sights / Optics: The front sight is a post protected by wings. The rear sight is a tangent leaf graduated out to 1,500 meters. The rifle is equipped with a Swiss Products USA K31 Clamp-On Scope Mount, allowing for optics attachment without permanent modification to the rifle.
Stock Configuration & Condition: The rifle features a hardwood stock with a straight wrist, finger grooves, and a semi-pistol grip. The wood exhibits minor handling marks and small surface scratches but retains a strong finish. There are no visible cracks or structural concerns. The stock rates in Very Good to Excellent overall condition.

Overall Condition: This rifle retains about 95% of its metal finish. The balance of the finish shows very minimal wear, primarily on high-contact areas. The markings remain clear and well-defined. Overall, this rifle rates in Excellent condition.
Mechanics: The action functions correctly. The bolt cycles smoothly, and the trigger operates as expected. We did not fire this rifle. As with all used firearms, a thorough cleaning may be necessary to meet your maintenance requirements.
Box, Paperwork & Accessories: Includes a brown leather sling, a Swiss Products USA K31 Clamp-On Scope Mount, a tompion (muzzle protector), and the original troop tag under the buttplate.
