Sights / Optics: The front sight is a bladed post set atop a small base. The rear sight is a sliding U notched blade attached to an escalator assembly. The sight flips up to become a sight ladder that uses a sliding V notched blade.
A scope base is attached to the left side of the receiver by 3 screws and 2 pins. There are also 2 small capture screws installed to stop the main screws from rotating.
The upper half of the scope mount slides on and is locked in place with an oversized compression lever. The scope is a fixed 4 power German AJACK scope. It uses a tapered post reticle. The view is clear. The scope assembly shows scrapes and areas of discoloration.
Stock Configuration & Condition: The two piece hardwood stock has a straight grip, finger grooves, nose cap, hole for the included cleaning rod, barrel band with sling loop, sling loop under the butt, marking disk on the butt, and a metal butt plate. The buttplate shows scrapes, scratches, and oxidation. The wood shows several scrapes, scratches, and compression marks as well as small areas of discoloration. The right front of the forearm shows a small filled surface repair. The LOP measures 14 inches from the front of the trigger to the back of the buttplate. The stock rates in about Very Good Plus overall condition as refurbished.

The metal has been treated with cold blue.
Bore Condition: The muzzle and grooves are light gray. The rifling is deep. There is erosion at the muzzle and light erosion in the grooves.
In this writer’s opinion, this bore rates 7 out of 10.
Many military and C&R eligible weapons have bores that will show erosion. This is not only due to age but to the fact that corrosive primers were commonly used in ammunition worldwide. For example, the U.S. used corrosive ammunition throughout WWII. The U.S. military did not begin to phase out corrosive-primed ammunition until the 1950s.
Overall Condition: This rifle retains about 80% of its current metal finish. The metal has been treated with cold blue. The metal shows scrapes, scratches, and thinning on the leading edges. The top of the barrel shows light thinning. The bottom metal shows prominent thinning and several small dings. The thinned areas of the finish show discoloration from oxidation. The scope base screw heads show use. The markings are deep. Overall, this rifle rates in about Very Good condition.
Mechanics: The action functions correctly. We did not fire this rifle. As with all used firearms, a thorough cleaning may be necessary to meet your maintenance requirements.

Our Assessment: This Swedish Sniper Rifle is an M/41B (M41B). It was originally a Swedish Model 1896 that was produced back in 1908. It was converted to a Sniper Rifle during WWII but still has matching part numbers on the receiver, bolt, bottom metal, and stock hardware. It now has a fixed 4 power German AJACK scope installed. The rifle has a good bore and the scope is in nice shape. This Swedish Sniper should so well out at the range.
