Markings: The left side of the receiver is marked with “OESTERR. WAFFENFABR.- GES. STEYR”. The top of the receiver is marked “Patent / Mannlicher / Schoenauer / M1908”. The right side of the barrel shank is marked with the serial number. The left side of the barrel shank is marked “NPv (Vienna smokeless proof mark)” and an “Austrian Coat of Arms” stamping. The underside of the bolt handle is marked with the serial number.
Barrel Length: Approximately 19 ¾ Inches
Sights / Optics: The front sight is a brass beaded blade set atop a ramped base. The rear sight is a two leaf “U” notched assembly marked “300”. The “300” marking can only be seen when the rear leaf is flipped down.
Stock Configuration & Condition: The hardwood stock has a pistol grip with metal grip cap, straight comb with a cheek piece, hand checkering on the forearm & grip, two sling loops, nose cap, and a serrated metal buttplate with hinged door for storage. The checkering is crisp with sharp peaks, showing minimal signs of handling. The LOP measures 14 1/8 inches from the face of the front trigger and 13 1/4 inches from the face of the rear trigger to the back of the buttplate. The stock rates in about Excellent overall condition.

Bore Condition: The bore is bright and the rifling is deep. There are a few minor spots of pitting in the muzzle end but the rest of the bore is pristine and minty. In this writer’s opinion the bore rates 9/10.
Overall Condition: This rifle retains about 98% of its metal finish. The front of the barrel shows minor thinning. The screw heads are sharp. The markings are deep. Overall, this rifle rates in about Excellent condition.
Mechanics: The action functions correctly. We have not fired this rifle. As with all previously owned firearms, a thorough cleaning may be necessary to meet your maintenance standards.
Box, Paperwork & Accessories: This rifle comes with a leather sling in Excellent condition. The leather is pliable and displays only light signs of handling.
