Markings: The left side of the slide is marked with the Steyr bullseye logo, “STEYR MANNLICHER AUSTRIA 9X19”. The right side of the slide is marked with the serial number “3081180”, Austrian proof marks, date code, and “STEYR S9-A1”. The right side of the chamber is also marked with the serial number “3081180”, proof marks, pentagon mark, and “9×19”. The left side of the frame is import marked “SAI, BESSEMER, AL”. The grips are marked with the Steyr bullseye logo on either side.

Sights / Optics: The front sight is a large white triangular blade dovetailed into the top of the slide above the muzzle. The rear sight is an open trapezoid with white left/right outlines dovetailed and screw-set to the top rear of the slide.
Stock Configuration & Condition: The grips are black polymer textured grips with finger grooves and serrated back strap. There is no notable wear or damage, only light handling marks. The grips are in Excellent overall condition.

Bore Condition: The bore is bright with sharp rifling. There is no erosion in the bore.
Overall Condition: This handgun retains about 98% of its metal finish. Other than operational wear on the barrel, there is no notable wear or damage, only light handling marks. The markings are clear. Overall, this handgun is in Excellent condition.
Mechanics: The action functions correctly. We did not fire this handgun. As with all used firearms, a thorough cleaning may be necessary to meet your maintenance requirements.
Box, Paperwork & Accessories: This pistol comes with a Steyr Mannlicher polymer case with foam inserts and four (4) 10-round magazines. The magazines have intact feed lips and strong follower springs. The case has some scuffs and scratches and a Surefire sticker.
Our Assessment: The Steyr S9-A1 is a compact 9mm striker-fired semi-auto pistol with a relatively low bore axis offering better recoil control and recovery. This Austrian design offers comfortable ergonomics and an unconventional trapezoidal sights setup for quick target acquisition. A great choice either as a utility firearm or self defense option.
