Our Assessment: The Steyr Model 1911 / Model 1912 pistol can be best described as an evolution of the Roth m1907 pistol. It was designed in around 1910, and entered production in 1911, with first deliveries made to Chile, as Steyr Model 1911. The pistol is frequently referred to as the Steyr-Hahn or “Steyr Hammer” due to its external hammer. The pistol was an Austro-Hungarian sidearm during WWI with other contracts for sales to Chile and Romania. This example is a Chilean Model 1911 produced in 1912. The pistol is in Very Good condition with 80% of its finish remaining and strong mechanics. Please see our photos and good luck!
