Sights / Optics: The front sight is a white dotted blade dovetailed to the slide. The rear sight is a rectangular notch sight dovetailed to the slide with two white dots.
Stock Configuration & Condition: The grip is a one piece checkered wraparound grip. The frame’s front strap is checkered. There is minor handling wear. There are faint scuffs throughout. There are no chips or cracks. Overall, the grips rate in Fine condition.
Magazine Quantity & Condition: Two 6rd .45 ACP magazines in Excellent condition.

Overall Condition: This handgun’s stainless finish shows minor handling wear and scuffs. The barrel and barrel hood show operational wear. The pins are unmarred. The markings are clear. Overall, this handgun rates in about Fine-Excellent condition.
Mechanics: The action functions correctly. The double action is smooth and has a clean break. We did not fire this handgun. As with all used firearms, a thorough cleaning may be necessary to meet your maintenance requirements.

Our Assessment: The Smith & Wesson 4513 TSW belongs to the final and most refined generation of the company’s traditional metal-framed semi-automatic pistols. Introduced during the late 1990s as part of the Tactical Smith & Wesson line, the compact 4513 TSW combined a lightweight alloy frame with a stainless-steel slide, traditional double-action/single-action lockwork, and .45 ACP chambering in a pistol intended for concealed carry, plainclothes law-enforcement, and defensive use. Early 4513 TSW pistols produced from approximately 1997-1999 are distinguished by their shorter grip frame, six-round magazines, and lack of an accessory rail, while later production was revised for seven-round magazines and commonly incorporated a frame-mounted rail. This early six-round version represents the scarcer original configuration of Smith & Wesson’s compact Tactical .45 and comes from the closing era of the company’s highly regarded Third Generation semi-automatic pistols.
This 4513 TSW remains in Fine-Excellent condition, with only minor handling wear and scuffs to the satin-finished slide and normal operational wear to the barrel and barrel hood. The checkered wraparound grip remains in Fine condition with no chips or cracks, while the bright 9/10 bore retains sharp rifling and shows no erosion. Mechanically, the pistol functions correctly with a smooth double-action pull and clean break, and the bobbed hammer complements the compact pistol’s concealed-carry orientation. The two six-round magazines are especially desirable with this early configuration, and the serial-matching Smith & Wesson case, paperwork, spare magazine baseplates, and trigger lock make for a nicely complete package.
