Markings: The left side of the frame has a S&W Performance Center monogram. The left side of the barrel is marked “PERFORMANCE CENTER”. The right side of the barrel is marked “.44 MAGNUM”. The right side of the frame has a Marcas Registradas. The yoke cut is marked with the serial number and “626-6”. The yoke arm is marked with “052”. The frame butt is marked with the serial number.
Barrel Length: 7 1/2″ Integrated Picatinny rail, Full-Rib, Underlug
Sights / Optics: The front sight is a blade with a red face dove-tailed to a solid rib. The rear sight is a white outlined rectangular notch sight with micro-adjustment, screwed to the top-strap.
Stock Configuration & Condition: The stock is a one piece rubber Hogue Monogrip, overmolded with cobblestone texture, molded S&W logos and finger grooves. There are minor handling marks in the smooth portions of the grips. There are no rips or tears in the rubber. The grip is in Excellent condition.

Bore Condition: The bore is bright with well-defined rifling. There is no erosion in the bore. In this writer’s opinion the bore rates 9.75/10.
Overall Condition: This handgun’s stainless surface has minor scratches and scuffs from handling. There is a visible turn line on the cylinder. There is a minor spot of freckling above the grip on the right side. The screw heads are sharp with some tooling. The markings are clear and legible. Overall, this handgun rates in about Excellent condition.
Mechanics: The action functions as designed. The cylinder has strong lock up on all 6 chambers. The double action trigger is smooth. The single action trigger is crisp. We did not fire this handgun. As with all used firearms, a thorough cleaning may be necessary to meet your maintenance requirements.

Our Assessment: This Smith & Wesson Performance Center 629-6 is a substantial and purpose-built .44 Magnum revolver, combining the classic N-frame magnum platform with modern Performance Center enhancements. The Model 629 is the stainless-steel evolution of Smith & Wesson’s famous Model 29, the revolver that helped make the .44 Magnum one of America’s most recognizable big-bore handgun cartridges. This example is especially appealing with its 7 1/2″ full-rib, underlug barrel, integrated Picatinny rail, adjustable rear sight, red-faced front blade, and Hogue Monogrip, making it well-suited for hunting, range work, or scoped/optics-ready magnum revolver use.
This revolver remains in about Excellent overall condition, showing only minor handling scratches and scuffs on the stainless surfaces, a visible cylinder turn line, a small spot of freckling above the right grip, and some tooling on otherwise sharp screw heads. The bore is bright with well-defined rifling and no erosion, rating 9.75/10 in this writer’s opinion. Mechanically, the action functions as designed, the cylinder locks up strongly on all six chambers, the double-action pull is smooth, and the single-action break is crisp. With its Performance Center pedigree, powerful .44 Magnum chambering, long sight radius, optics rail, and excellent mechanical condition, this 629-6 should appeal to shooters, hunters, and Smith & Wesson collectors looking for a serious stainless magnum revolver.
