Our Assessment: The S&W Model 625 is a gun with an interesting, if confusing, history. There was never a 625 no dash, nor have any 625-1s been seen with the first revolvers being model 625-2. This example is a 625-7, an N-Frame revolver with a 6? and 5.5” ported barrel, chambered for .45 Colt. Able to share ammunition with many lever action rifles chambered for the same cartridge, this is a great revolver to add to a collection which is already shooting this classic pistol caliber. The gun is in about Excellent condition with about 97% of its stainless finish, a great bore, sweet trigger pulls, and strong mechanics. I highly encourage you to take a look at the condition in our high quality photos. -K.F.
