Sights / Optics: The front sight is a serrated ramp blade, pinned to a serrated ramp base which is integral to the solid, wide rib. The rear sight is a square notched leaf in a S&W micrometer click base that is adjustable for windage and elevation.
Stock Configuration & Condition: The stocks are smooth Goncalo alves finger-grooved combat round butt wood grips with S&W medallions. There is handling wear in the form of scattered small scratches, compression marks and tiny areas of finish loss. The grips are in a Very Good condition.

Bore Condition: The bore is bright and the rifling is sharp. There is light fouling. There is no erosion. In my opinion, this bore rates 9 out of 10.
Overall Condition: The balance of the stainless shows light operational wear. There is a very faint turn line on the cylinder. The screw heads are sharp. There are frosted areas on both barrel and frame. The markings are clear. Overall, this handgun rates a Very Good Plus condition.
Mechanics: The action functions correctly. The cylinder lockup has almost no play on each of the six chambers. There is no end shake. We did not fire this handgun. As with all used firearms, a thorough cleaning may be necessary to meet your maintenance standards.

Our Assessment: For more than a century and a half, Smith & Wesson has been producing some of the finest revolvers in the world. During much of that time, revolvers were the best handgun for just about any purpose; hunting, defense, target shooting, law enforcement and military sidearms. While the semi-automatic handgun slowly took the place of most of these purposes, there’s still something about a revolver that keeps shooters coming back.
This Smith revolver allows you to use the semi-automatic 10mm cartridge in a fine quality revolver, sharing ammunition with a Smith 1006, Colt Delta Elite, Glock 20 or other 10mm semi-auto pistol. Using moon clips, you can also use .40 S&W, allowing this revolver to use two different popular semi-automatic cartridges.
This revolver is in Excellent condition, a bright bore, strong mechanics and comes with its original box. It is part of the early, limited production of 4560. For the 10mm enthusiast or the Smith & Wesson collector, this is a great find. Please see our photos. -C.B.
