Markings:  The right side of the barrel is marked “S&W .357 MAGNUM”, the left is marked “SMITH & WESSON”. The yoke cut is marked with the serial and model number. The right side of the frame is marked with the four-line Marcas Registradas, the left is marked with the S&W trademark logo. The butt is marked with the serial number. The sides of the grip frame and yoke have inspection marks.

Barrel Length: 4” with Full Underlug & Solid Rib.

Sights / Optics: The front sight is a serrated ramp with red insert. The rear sight is a flat top, square notched leaf in a base that is micrometer-click adjustable for windage and elevation.

Stock Configuration & Condition:  The grips are checkered walnut with S&W medallions. There is an ejector cut on the left panel. There is some minor scratching on the bottom. There are no chips or cracks. The grips are in Excellent overall condition.

Type of Finish: Blued.

Finish Originality: Original.

Bore Condition:  The bore is bright and the rifling is strong.  There is no erosion in the bore. In this writer’s opinion the bore rates at a Excellent condition.

Overall Condition: This handgun retains about 96% of its metal finish. There are some scattered light handling marks.There is scratching on the face of the cylinder. There is some thinning on the barrel and rib on the leading edges. The crane has some marks from use. There is a faint light turn line intermittent through the finish on the cylinder. The screwheads are sharp.  The markings are clear.  Overall, this handgun rates in Excellent condition.

Mechanics:  The action functions correctly.  There is light play on the chambers in full lockup. The double-action trigger pull is smooth with a crisp single-action break. We did not fire this handgun. As with all used firearms, a thorough cleaning may be necessary to meet your maintenance standards.
