Our Assessment: This is a beautiful Model 17-2 made in 1965. This example is in Excellent condition with about 99% of its finish remaining, a pristine bore in its 6″ barrel paired with magna stocks. This revolver will make a great gun for training a new shooter to use a revolver, target shooting, or just recreational plinking. With its pinned barrel and classic craftsmanship, they quite literally do not make them like this anymore. This is a wonderful opportunity at an old-school Smith & Wesson with all of the quality craftsmanship that we don’t see much of these days. Please see our photos and good luck! – L.S.
