Sights / Optics: The front sight is a high Patridge blade. The rear sight is a micro-click adjustable flat-top square-notch leaf for windage and elevation.
Markings: The left side of the barrel is marked “Smith & Wesson.” The right side of the barrel is marked “38 S&W SPECIAL CTG.” The right side of the frame bears the four-line Marcas Registradas address.
Grips: The revolver is fitted with factory Magna grips that remain bright and sharp, with minimal handling wear.
Finish: Blued with Case-Hardened Trigger and Hammer
Bore Condition: The bore is semi-bright with sharp rifling, showing stubborn fouling but no significant wear. In this writer’s opinion, the bore rates 9/10.
Overall Condition: This revolver retains over 98% of its original blued finish. There are minor handling marks and light burns on the cylinder face. The case coloring on the trigger and hammer is bold and vibrant. The ejector rod and cylinder pin retain nearly all their original finish. The screw heads are sharp, and the markings are crisp and clear. Overall, this revolver is in excellent condition.
Mechanics: The action functions correctly. The cylinder locks tightly with minimal play on each chamber when the trigger is depressed. The double-action trigger pull is smooth, and the single-action pull is crisp. We did not fire this handgun. As with all used firearms, a thorough cleaning may be necessary to meet your maintenance standards.
