Markings: The right side of the barrel is marked “45 CAL MODEL 1950.” The left side of the barrel is marked “Smith & Wesson.” The rear cylinder face, ejector shroud, and butt are marked with the serial number “S98471.”

Grips: The factory checkered wood grips remain in almost excellent condition, with only a few minor scuffs and handling marks.

Finish: Blued with Case-Colored Trigger and Hammer

Bore Condition: The bore is semi-bright with sharp rifling. In this writer’s opinion, the bore rates 9/10.

Overall Condition: This revolver retains approximately 97% of its original finish. There are light scratches on the barrel, minor finish loss toward the muzzle and ejector shroud, and some wear on the front sight. The cylinder face exhibits light burn marks. The hammer and trigger retain strong case colors, and the screw heads are sharp. All markings are clear and legible.

Mechanics: The action functions correctly. The cylinder locks tightly with minimal play on each chamber. We did not fire this revolver. As with all used firearms, a thorough cleaning may be necessary to meet your maintenance standards.
