Markings: The left side of the barrel is marked “.357 MAG – 8 TIMES”, the right is marked “PERFORMANCE CENTER”, the left side of the frame has S&W’s Performance Center logo, the right has the four line Marcas Registradas. The yoke cut is marked “CSV3131 / 627-5”. The yoke and the sides of the grip frame have inspection marks. The butt is marked “CSV3131”.
Barrel Length: 5”, slab-side with tapered underlug and serrated rib.
Sights / Optics: The front sight is a brass beaded blade pinned to a rise in the rib. The rear sight is a flat top, square notched leaf in a base that is micrometer-click adjustable for windage and elevation. The topstrap, under the rear sight base, is drilled and tapped for an optic mount (none included).
Stock Configuration & Condition: The grips are two-piece textured laminate wood with S&W logos carved near their tops, finger grooves and which leave the top portion of the backstrap exposed. There are a couple minor marks, most noticeable on the bottom faces. Otherwise, there are only light handling marks. There are no chips or cracks. Overall, the grips are in about Excellent condition.

Bore Condition: The bore is bright and the rifling is sharp. There is no erosion in the bore. In this writer’s opinion the bore rates 10/10.
Overall Condition: This pistol retains about 98% of its metal finish. The trigger and hammer show light operational wear. The screw heads are sharp. The markings are clear. Overall, this handgun rates in about Excellent condition.
Mechanics: The action functions correctly. The cylinder produces almost no play in lockup of all 8 chambers. The double action trigger pull is smooth, the single action is crisp. We did not fire this handgun. As with all used firearms, a thorough cleaning may be necessary to meet your maintenance standards.
Box, Paperwork & Accessories: Included is a serial matching case and three moonclips, factory spent casing and envelope dated 2012, chamber lock and keys, owner’s manual, moisture absorbent paper, and a set of Pachmayr Signature grips in Very Good condition.
