Markings: The left side of the barrel is marked “500 S&W Magnum.” The left side of the frame is marked “S&W.” The right side of the barrel is marked “Smith & Wesson.” The right side of the frame is marked with the “Marcas Registradas” logo and “S&W 500.” The crane cut and frame are marked with the serial number and model designation.

Barrel Length: 8.25” plus muzzle brake (Total length: 9”)

Sights / Optics: The front sight is a black patridge sight on a raised boss. The rear sight is a fully adjustable square-notch sight.

Grip Configuration & Condition: The grip is a black Monogrip with a cobblestone texture and combat-style contours. It provides excellent recoil control and comfort. The grip rates in about Excellent condition with minimal handling wear.

Type of Finish: Stainless Steel

Finish Originality: Original

Bore Condition: The bore is semi-bright, and the rifling is sharp. There is heavy, stubborn fouling present. In this writer’s opinion, the bore rates 8/10.

Overall Condition: This revolver retains about 95% of its original stainless finish. The balance of the finish shows light use, with light burn marks on the front face of the cylinder. The screw heads are sharp, the pins are clean, and the markings are crisp. Overall, this revolver rates in about Excellent condition.

Mechanics: The action functions correctly. We did not fire this revolver. As with all used firearms, a thorough cleaning may be necessary to meet your maintenance requirements.

Box, Paperwork & Accessories: This revolver comes with its original box, keys for the internal lock, and an envelope containing the factory test-fired round.
