Markings: The left side of the barrel is marked “460 S&W MAGNUM.” The right side of the frame is marked “460 XVR” with the Performance Center logo. The left side of the frame has the Smith & Wesson monogram logo. The yoke cut is marked “DCH2945” and “460.” The bottom of the grip frame has the serial number. The right side of the frame is marked “MADE IN U.S.A. / SMITH & WESSON / SPRINGFIELD, MASS.”

Sights / Optics: The front sight is a removable blade with a ramped post. The rear sight is an adjustable target sight with a square notch. The revolver is mounted with a Leupold VX-3 2.5-8x32mm scope with a duplex reticle. The glass is clear, and the scope is in excellent condition.
Grip Configuration & Condition: The grips are one-piece black rubber with texturing for enhanced control. They rate in about Excellent condition with little to no wear.

Bore Condition: The bore is bright, the rifling is sharp. There is no visible erosion in the bore but there is stubborn fouling throughout. In this writer’s opinion, the bore rates 9/10.
Overall Condition: This revolver retains about 97% of its metal finish. The balance of the finish shows light handling marks and minor operational wear. The screw heads are sharp. The pins are clean. The markings are crisp. Overall, this revolver rates in about Excellent condition.
Mechanics: The action functions correctly. The cylinder locks up with minimal play on all chambers. The double and single-action trigger pulls are smooth and crisp. As with all used firearms, a thorough cleaning may be necessary to meet your maintenance requirements.
