Markings: The left side of the barrel is marked “460 S&W MAGNUM”. The right side of the barrel is marked “SMITH & WESSON”. The left side of the frame is marked with the S&W monogram. The right side of the frame is marked “460” with a “V” underneath and the four-line Marcas Registradas. The crane cut is marked “DSB3289” / “460”. The grip butt is marked “DSB3289”.

Sights / Optics: The front sight is a serrated ramp with a red insert pinned to a serrated ramped base. The rear sight is an adjustable micrometer click square notch that is set into the top strap of the frame.
Stock Configuration & Condition: The grip is a one-piece cobblestone Hogue-textured black rubber monogrip with finger grooves and molded S&W logos at the top on each side. There are light handling scuffs and compressions. There are no rips or chunks. Overall, this grip is in Excellent condition.

Bore Condition: The bore is bright and the rifling is sharp. There is no erosion. There is fouling in the bore. In this writer’s opinion, this bore rates 9/10.
Overall Condition: This revolver’s stainless finish shows scattered handling scratches and scuffs. There is carbon residue around the muzzle brake. There is a turn line on the cylinder. The screw heads are sharp. The markings are clear. Overall, this revolver is in an Excellent condition.
Mechanics: The action functions correctly. The lockup is tight with minimal play at each chamber. The double action is smooth and the single action is crisp. We did not fire this handgun. As with all used firearms, a thorough cleaning may be necessary to meet your maintenance standards.

Built around a massive five-shot cylinder and reinforced stainless-steel frame, the 460V combines magnum hunting capability with a comparatively compact 5″ barrel, full underlug, and interchangeable muzzle-brake system. The .460 S&W Magnum offers substantial velocity and energy while also allowing the use of shorter compatible .454 Casull and .45 Colt cartridges, giving the platform unusual versatility for a revolver of this size and power. The 460V’s adjustable sights, Hogue grip, and ported brake make it well suited to handgun hunting and heavy-recoil field use.
This Model 460V remains in Excellent condition, with scattered light handling scratches and scuffs, carbon residue around the muzzle brake, and a visible cylinder turn line. The Hogue rubber monogrip remains in Excellent condition, while the bright 9/10 bore has sharp rifling, fouling, and no visible erosion. The action functions correctly with tight lockup, minimal play at each chamber, a smooth double-action pull, and a crisp single-action pull.
