Barrel Length: 3.5 Inches, Pinned

Markings: The left side of the barrel is marked “SMITH & WESSON.” The right side of the barrel is marked “S&W .357 MAGNUM.” The side plate is marked with the S&W logo, and the right side of the frame has the four-line Marcas Registradas address. The butt is marked with the serial number “N81322,” and the crane cut is marked with the serial and model numbers. The crane and grip frame bear inspection marks.

Sights / Optics: The front sight is a ramped blade with a red insert, pinned to a ramped base on the barrel rib. The rear sight is an S&W micrometer click square notch adjustable for windage and elevation. The barrel rib, ramp, rear sight tang, and top strap are finely checkered to reduce glare.

Stock Configuration & Condition: The grips are two-piece checkered Magna-style grips, complemented by a Tyler T grip adapter. The grips have no notable handling marks, and the checkering is sharp. The grain of the wood is select and adds to the revolver’s aesthetic. The grips are in excellent condition.

Finish Originality: Original

Bore Condition: The bore is bright with sharp rifling and no erosion. In this writer’s opinion, the bore rates 10/10.

Overall Condition: This revolver retains approximately 97% of its original metal finish. light finish loss near the muzzle. There are minor nicks around the side plate screws and a light intermittent turn line on the cylinder that does not break the finish. The screw heads are sharp, and the markings are clear. The revolver appears well-cared-for and rarely used. Overall, it is in excellent condition.

Mechanics: The action functions correctly. The cylinder lockup produces minor side-to-side play on each chamber with the trigger depressed. The double-action trigger is smooth, and the single-action is light and crisp. We did not fire this revolver. As with all used firearms, a thorough cleaning may be necessary to meet your maintenance standards.
