Our Assessment: The Smith & Wesson 2206 Rimfire Handgun is the topical solution to the predicament of impaired silenced/suppressed weapons. We can get feisty about terminology another day. But not today! Whether you want to call the can mounted to the snout of a muzzle a suppressor or silencer or pew-pew-hush device, it doesn’t matter to me. All you need to know and all I want to convey in this little assessment is that the S&W 2206 handgun was made for a purpose and achieved that purpose well. If you are looking for a new plinking device that uses inexpensive ammo and is outright satisfying to shoot, then this may be the option for you. But beyond that, this pistol is a gateway drug into the world of silenced weapons. The .22LR rimfire pistol is accurate and easy to control, but add a suppressor to the end and you now have a Ghost-Quiet paper puncturing device worthy of every trip to the gun range. The space in your bag allowed for extra ammo in place of unnecessary ear protection devices is an added bonus. Though this listing doesn’t come with a suppressor, this will open your world up to new possibilities every gun enthusiast dreams of if you have or ever want to pay that tax stamp. Bid today and claim this .22LR pistol sporting the dashing good looks similar to that of a 1911. Good Luck!
