Our Assessment: In 1990 after many years of work and experience, brothers Giuseppe and Ivano Gelmini took over S.I.A.C.E. a 40 year old company. Being avid hunters with a great passion for side by side shotguns, Giuseppe and Ivano have devoted their entire careers to the production of fine hammer and hammerless side-by-side shotguns in all calibers. Almost all their guns are entirely custom made and feature elegant stocks and fore-ends and fine hand engravings executed by the best Master engravers from Brescia. Thanks to their elegant design and beauty, SIACE hammer side-by-side shotguns are true example of craftsmanship combined with technology. They are greatly appreciated by all those hunters who like “the old days”, but do not want to give up reliability and perfect ballistic performances. This shotgun is fitted with external hammers but interestingly has a single mechanically reset trigger. The bores and mechanics are great and there are only a few defects. This will be a great gun for your next hunt and will be a nice addition to a collection of side by side shotguns. Please see our pictures and good luck!
