Our Assessment: The Sharps Model 1874 is a single-shot, breech-loading rifle that was produced by the Sharps Rifle Manufacturing Company from 1874 to 1881. It was a popular rifle during the late 19th century and was used by a variety of individuals, including buffalo hunters, trappers, and soldiers.
