Markings: The top of the barrel is marked “Cal. .22-250 Rem. / J.P. Sauer & Sohn GMBH GEGRÜNDET 1751”.  The left side of the receiver is marked “SAUER 90 Made in GERMANY / SIGARMS INC. EXETER NH”.  The right side of the receiver is marked K25687”.

Sights / Optics: There are no provisions for iron sights on this rifle. On the top of the receiver there is a Zeiss Diavari 3-9×36 Scope mounted.

Stock Configuration & Condition: The stock is a checkered wood monte-carlo comb with cheek piece, capped semi-pistol grip, nose cap, and a black rubber buttpad.  The LOP measures 13.75” from the front of the trigger to the back of the buttpad. The stock is in about Excellent overall condition.

Bore Condition: The bore is bright and the rifling is sharp. There is no erosion in the bore.

Overall Condition: This rifle retains about 99 of its metal finish. The balance of the finish shows no wear. The screw heads are sharp. The markings are sharp. Overall, this rifle rates in about Excellent condition.

Mechanics: The action functions properly. We did not fire this rifle. As with all used firearms, a thorough cleaning may be necessary to meet your maintenance requirements.

Our Assessment:  The Sauer model 90 was released in 1982 and sold until 2006.  The model 90 was built to be sold only in Europe. This is a Fine looking rifle with one of the smoothest bolts I have ever felt.  This rifle chambered in a .22-.250 Rem is a great round for hunting small game and varmints or long range target shooting.  The rifle being paired with the Zeiss scope will be very accurate.  This would make a great rifle for anyone wanting a hunting rifle or another piece to add to their collection.  Please look at our photos and good luck with your bids-C.M.
