Markings: The left side of the receiver is marked, “L461 No. 101611” with proof marks. The barrel is marked, “VIXEN Made in Finland / SAKO Cal. .222 Mag.”  The buttpad is marked, “SAKO”

Sights / Optics: The front sight is a hooded blade dovetailed to a checkered ramp. For the rear sight there are grooves on the top of the receiver provisioned.

Stock Configuration & Condition:  The stock is one piece checkered walnut with a capped semi-pistol grip, monte-carlo buttstock with cheek piece, and plastic serrated Sako buttplate. There are faint scratches throughout. The checkering is sharp. The LOP measures 13 3/4” from the front of the trigger to the back of the buttpad. There are no chips or cracks. Overall, the stock rates in Excellent condition with little to no handling wear.

Bore Condition: The bore is bright and the rifling is sharp. There is some erosion in the middle of the  bore. In this writer’s opinion the bore rates 8/10.

Overall Condition:  This rifle retains about 98% of its metal finish. There is light thinning throughout. There are light scratches. Overall, this rifle rates in about Very Fine condition.

Mechanics: The action functions correctly. We did not fire this rifle. As with all used firearms, a thorough cleaning may be necessary to meet your maintenance requirements.
