Our Assessment: SAKO is a Finnish brand that began operations in the early 1920s primarily for the Finnish defense forces. Production of civilian arms began in 1942 with the L42. Civilian production was expanded with rifles such as the L579 Forester or the Riihimaki (L46) on offer here, a robust bolt-action rifle. This L46 is from fairly early in commercial production, around 1951, and is chambered for .222 Remington. This L46 is in Fine condition, with minor wear given its age. The action is smooth, and the bore is in good shape. It even has a desirable full stock. The winner will have a great rifle on their hands! Please see our photos and good luck!
