Our Assessment: Sako first started making rifles with FN Mauser actions in 1946, and finally settled on 3 different length actions that changed designations over the years. The model 75 was helpfully marked only with the action length, I (short), III (medium), IV (long) and V (magnum). There were plans for a II-size action specifically for PPC cartridges, but production never started. This is a very nice example of the Model 75-I chambered for the .223 Remington cartridge. It should make a terrific target or varmint rifle given the quality Sako is known for. It doesn’t seem to have seen much, if any, use outside the factory. Please see our photos and good luck!
