Sights / Optics: The front sight is an adjustable post with protective wings. The rear sight is a square notched leaf sliding sight escalator with flip up night sights. The left side of the receiver has a side mounting rail with a Midwest Industries scope mount.
Stock Configuration & Condition: This rifle has a two piece Magpul synthetic stock set with a side folding Zhukov-S stock with rubber buttpad and a serrated textured semi pistol grip. There is little to no wear throughout. There are light scratches. There are no chips or cracks. Overall this stock set rates in about Excellent condition.

Bore Condition: The bore is bright and the rifling is sharp. There is no erosion in the bore. In this writer’s opinion the bore rates 9 out of 10.
Overall Condition: This rifle retains about 98% of its metal finish. The balance of the finish shows light handling and operational wear. There are a few light scratches throughout. There is operational wear from the safety switch. The screw heads are sharp and rivets are unmarred. The markings are clear. Overall, this rifle rates in about Very Good Plus condition.
Mechanics: The action functions correctly. We did not fire this rifle. As with all used firearms, a thorough cleaning may be necessary to meet your maintenance requirements.
Box, Paperwork & Accessories: This rifle comes with the scope mount, the installed ALG trigger, original plum furniture, and paperwork.
Our Assessment: The Russian Saiga Legion rifle is a factory-produced civilian variant of the Kalashnikov platform, manufactured at the Izhevsk arsenal and imported through Legion USA. Built on original Russian receivers with proper AKM geometry, these rifles are widely regarded for their quality, smooth operation, and authenticity compared to many other AK-pattern imports. Chambered in 7.62x39mm, the cartridge introduced in 1943, the platform retains the proven long stroke gas piston system while offering a modernized sporting configuration with enhanced ergonomics.
This example retains about 98 percent of its original black finish with light handling and operational wear, including minor scratches and typical safety lever wear on the receiver. The Magpul furniture set with Zhukov-S side folding stock and textured grip shows minimal use and remains in Excellent condition with no cracks or damage. The rifle is equipped with a Midwest Industries side mount and upgraded with an ALG trigger. The bore is bright with sharp rifling and no visible erosion, rating 9 out of 10 in this writer’s opinion. The action functions correctly and the rifle presents as a clean example of a Russian Saiga Legion with desirable modern upgrades.
