Sights / Optics: The front sight is serrated blade with orange insert, integral to a ramped base, the rear sight is a fully adjustable square notch attached to the top strap. This revolver has integral mounts for mounting scope rings (none included)
Stock Configuration & Condition: The Hogue Tamer grips are one piece pebble textured black rubber with finger grooves. The grips show light handling and storage marks. There are some scattered scuffs, smudges and scratch marks. The grips rate in about Good to Very Good overall condition.

Bore Condition: The bore is bright, the rifling is sharp. There is some fouling in the bore. In this writer’s opinion, this bore rates a 9.5 out of 10.
Overall Condition: This revolver retains about 98% of its metal finish. The balance of the finish shows light wear from handling and storage. There is a turn line through the finish on the cylinder. The metal shows a few minor scratch marks. The screw heads are sharp. The markings are clear. Overall, this revolver rates in about Fine condition.
Mechanics: The action functions Correctly. The cylinder locks with a little play on each chamber. We did not fire this Revolver. As with all used firearms, a thorough cleaning may be necessary to meet your maintenance requirements.

Our Assessment: The Super Redhawk is a line of double-action magnum revolvers made by Sturm, Ruger beginning in 1987, when Ruger started making weapons using larger, more powerful cartridges such as .44 Magnum, .454 Casull, and .480 Ruger. The Super Redhawk was introduced late in 1987, in .44 Magnum with 7.5- and 9.5-inch barrel lengths. The final product used the same trigger design and same grip panels as the .357 Magnum GP100, but had a larger, stronger frame with integrated scope bases.
This example was manufactured in 2015 and is in great shape, showing light use. This example is a model 05517 TOKLAT, Talo distributor exclusive, it is chambered for .454 Cassull and can also fire .45 Colt. The model 05517 has a strong, extended frame with extra metal in the top strap, sidewalls and barrel mounting areas to handle powerful, big game loads. This Super Redhawk has very well preserved large black rubber large grips that feel great to hold. The Super Redhawk has an integrated scope mount system that allows for the installation of optics, making it suitable for hunters who prefer using a scope (none included). Like other Ruger revolvers, the Super Redhawk incorporates a transfer bar safety mechanism. This safety feature helps prevent accidental discharges unless the trigger is fully pulled. This very large and well made Ruger handgun would go well in any Revolver collection and would be perfect for hunting. Please see our photos, good luck and happy bidding.
